My name is Amber Heiser (formerly Alwin), I’ve played volleyball for over a decade and am currently coaching my 9th year with Belusa United. I played 4 years at Lyons Township High School, 6 years of club volleyball, Belusa VBC being my final club team of which I played alongside of Nicole.

While playing my senior club year with Belusa, I was recruited by Robert Morris University Illinois - Chicago. After my last year playing club, I became a part of the Belusa coaching staff for two years while in college. I then decided to focus on my athletic-academic responsibilities and took a break from coaching.

I graduated from Robert Morris University in 2010 with Honors and a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Arts. Outside of coaching I'm married and currently expecting my first child. Full time, I'm a graphic designer at Power Wellness which is the leading wellness management company in the fitness industry. I'm also known as a 'Jack of all trades', which I offer multiple creative services. Besides coaching, I play in a women's league every week and I also design and manage all of Belusa's marketing materials and spirit wear. Stay tuned for our 2021 Merch Store coming this spring!

Honestly, I always had an idea of where my path in life was heading, but if it weren’t for volleyball, I wouldn’t have had the amazing opportunities that which brought me to where I am today. I couldn’t be happier to be coaching along side Coach Megan this season with 16 Ice - even if it's for a short term as I am expecting the arrival of my first child January 2021!
